There are more than three different groups named "Oblivion":
0)Forming in 1988, originally as a rock/metal band, Chicago's Oblivion became one of the most influential punk rock bands of the era, before breaking up in 1999. Bassist/Vocalist Pete currently holds the same duties in Chicago punk band Mexican Cheerleader, while Oblivion guitarist/vocalist Scott and drummer Brian currently aren't in any bands. http://www.myspace.com/oblivionusa

3) Starting out as a death/thrash metal band back in 1995, Oblivion has evolved to become one of the major christian metalcore bands rising up from the Swedish underground. Influences are drawn from Living Sacrifice, Meshuggah and the likes.

5) Stoner/rock band from Linkoping (Sweden)
6) Melodic Death Metal from Belgium (R.I.P.)

9) Ambient / Black / Experimental project from the US consisting of 2 members, Jay, and Mike. Primarily guitars and bass, but with touches of keyboards, vocals, space vacuums, deep sea creatures, and other random things.
10) A Canadian thrash metal band that later changed name to Obliveon |
